Instead it is recommended not to damage other teeth. But with the conditions, these teeth have really cleaned from the rest of caries, or holes.

According to Drg. Darmayani Siregar, Specialist Clinic Griya Medika, ask how the teeth are most often used to overcome the problem of perforated teeth. "Tambal not at risk of dental health services. Fact can prevent the emergence of a new hole or caries. But with the dental records must be clean of the remaining caries," she said.

Likewise with the situation pulpa nervous or dental continued, not teriritasi. Ginggi circumstances or the situation in the gums also not swelling. When patients come for treatment is not in pain. "If the situation in the tooth pain, tooth fixed patched, dental caries, or holes will be difficult to clean. The result of patches will also be successful is good," the blogosphere.

About the time or not to hold patches on the teeth, Doctor alumni of North Sumatra University (USU) said this is very dependent on the patterns of eating and how to treat the teeth. "If I like eating food hot, cold or too hot, it will quickly damage the teeth of patches of patches. Likewise, eating foods that are sweet and sticky digigi. If they still eat too much should not and must be cleaned after eating again," she said .

He also mentioned, teeth that have been patched the hole will not show the new (the same place). But with the notes, the first time ask the network caries (tooth network of mountain) is really clean. If not wasted out, and patched. So caries that there still will spread, or digging a new hole again. Finally appear secondary caries or perforated again under the patches.

For that, doctors recommend Darmayani, each will be examined health (including the teeth will ask), patients should be asked about many things to the medical workers or doctors. "Do not only about the disease that we are suffering. Please check also other things. So it increases our knowledge of the area and know more. But, in our community such as this habit is still very poor," she said. Citra Pandianganhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03190871497780207559noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1695762814339615215.post-33696013288589603912008-07-28T07:07:00.000-07:002008-07-28T07:08:05.165-07:00Make Ur Health Everyday1. Move More
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your dog; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more. Thought for the day: Cha, Cha, Cha…. Then do it!

2. Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day: Lean, mean, fat-burning machine…. Then be one!

3. Quit Smoking
The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that smoking was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Could it be the Hollywood influence? It seems the stars in every movie of late smoke cigarettes. Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood smokers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cigarette…. the next one.

4. Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

5. Protect Yourself from Pollution
If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily.

6. Wear Your Seat Belt
Statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Thought for the day: Buckle down and buckle up.

7. Floss Your Teeth
Recent studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't? Thought for the day: Floss and be your body's boss.

8. Avoid Excessive Drinking
While recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day (two for men) can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney disease and cancer. Thought for the day: A jug of wine should last a long time.

9. Keep a Positive Mental Outlook
There's a definitive connection between living well and healthfully and having a cheerful outlook on life. Thought for the day: You can't be unhappy when you're smiling or singing.

10. Choose Your Parents Well
The link between genetics and health is a powerful one. But just because one or both of your parents died young in ill health doesn't mean you cannot counteract the genetic pool handed you. Thought for the day: Follow these basic tips for healthy living and you can better control your own destiny. Undergoing the process of denial, depression and anger is natural but sulking in your room for longer than necessary while watching the whole world passes you by isn’t healthy anymore. Wake up! You need to move on.Here are few tips on how to start picking up those pieces down to the fixing your broken heart.

1. Cry.

Face the fact that you’re sad and depressed. There’s no point of hiding it to the world most especially to yourself. Lock yourself in your room and cry. Sob or even wail all you want, it’s alright. Just cry to let out all the heartaches you are feeling. We who have been hurt before know it hurts so badly and the pain is so unbearable. You can let it out by all means. You might get puffy and swollen eyebags but at least you’re not stressing your way to sickness. Remember, it is healthy to express your anger and hurt. You can vent your feelings and relieve the tension and stress you feel inside.

2. Lend Some Ear.

When in pain and confused, it is always advisable to have someone around. Pouring over your sentiments with a friend over a bottle or a cup of coffee is a great catharsis. Who cares if you have told the story a hundred times already to your friends? As long as the anguish is still there just keep on talking. It will soothe your soul.

3. Don’t Listen to Love Songs.

As we all know, love songs tend to stir our emotional side, so be wary and don’t let yourself indulge into listening to love songs when you’re broken hearted. You’ll end up feeling like a complete loser and that’s the last thing you want to happen.

4. Keep Yourself Busy.

Do the things that you neglected to do because you were busy with someone else before. Finish your project that you left idle for almost a month now. Open that novel where your bookmark has been on the same chapter for already a year. Do all the things you’ve been dying to do before but just didn’t have the time. Organize an out of town trip with your friends or try hosting a party. Be with happy people and absorb their vibes.

5. Reminisce.

This may sound weird but is sometimes effective. If avoiding all the places you two have been and all the things both of you were doing before didn’t come up with a good result, then might as well try this one. No, reminiscing doesn’t mean that you have to punish yourself by reliving the memories you once shared, it’s just a way of making yourself immune to all the pains he has caused and for you to face the reality. Remembering the good times you have spent together will somehow make you realize that life isn’t bad after all. Believe me, in time, you will just find yourself laughing at all the things that happened and it will somehow make you proud also because you have overcome them all.

6. Start a Diary.

Start writing in a journal and make it your new best friend. Jot down all the dreadful things that happened to you and purge out all the things that’s on your mind, no holds barred. Confess to your new best friend how despicable your boyfriend is and vow to forget him the soonest time possible.

7. Clean up the Clutters.

It’s time to pick up the pieces and clean up the clutters of your once shattered life. A closing doesn’t necessarily mean a shut down; it’s just a phase that everyone needs to undergo to pave way for a new start. Keep away from your sight all the things that bring back memories of you together. Put them in a box and make sure you’ll never get a glimpse of it to avoid temptation to look at them again. And when I mean keep away from sight, just toss it aside first, not return to the giver.

8. Pamper yourself.

Head to the spa, gym or even to the parlor for a complete makeover. Enough of the sulking days, it’s unfair for you to see him happy while you are still there in your room wallowing in despair. Give yourself a treat and stop looking miserable. You wouldn’t want to look wretched when the hands of fate suddenly give you the person who will completely ease your broken heart, would you?
(sumber
KissMeGoodnight.com ) Citra Pandianganhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03190871497780207559noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1695762814339615215.post-66984533311902962932008-06-23T07:25:00.000-07:002008-06-23T07:26:31.917-07:00Advice on how to have a good relationshipAdvice on having a good and loving relationship. Learn how you can be a good spouse by finding out five basic rules in this article!

There are no such things as secrets to having a happy marriage. Most of what it takes to be happily married is infact real love. Once there is real love between a man and a woman, the rest of the things will almost fall into place. That is not to say there won't be some disagreements or cross words passed back and forth along your journey through life, as we are only human and certainly not perfect. But, having a genuine relationship full of real love helps to patch the holes in the sometimes rough road of matrimony.

Even though there are no secrets for being happily married, there are some basic rules every man and woman should keep in mind.

Rule #1

Communication is essential for any relationship to flourish, especially between a husband and wife. Share your feelings, your thoughts, and discuss your mutual plans for the future. Along with communicating, take the time to actually get to know your husband or wife, and continue to know them as the years pass by. You might think you know each other when you got married, but, as times goes by, especially if you married at an early age, you and your spouse both will mature, evolve and change. Time as well as the events that will happen to both of you throughout your married life will change your relationship as well as your outlook on life. Don't be afraid of these changes, whether it happen to be yourr changing or your spouse's at the time. Just remember to recognize those changes and communicate with your spouse about them.

Rule #2

Be loyal and show your spouse that you are devoted to them, and them only. Be faithful to them as well as supportive. Your spouse should be your confidante, your best friend, your safe haven in the storms of life as well as your exclusive lover. While you and your spouse will have loving relationships with family and friends, your marital relationship is exclusive and very special, and cannot be shared with anyone else.

Rule #3

Spend plenty of quality time together, but remember to allow each other to have ample time alone. Even though you are a married unit, and you will want to spend time together enjoying your favorite activities, or just sit together and relax at home, each of you is still a separate individual with certain likes and dislikes. You both need time alone to enjoy hobbies that you might enjoy, but your spouse doesn't. Don't think that because you are married, that you are joined at the hip and cannot do anything on your own. You both need equal time alone to think and organize your own thoughts or simply to wind down.

Rule #4

Be realistic about love and marriage, and especially, be realistic about your sex life. No matter how hard you may try, your marriage will not be perfect. As time goes by and changes occur in your lives together, your sexual relationship will also change. Most couples experience stars and skyrockets at the onset of their sexual relationship, but due to lack of time, energy, and other factors that come into play, things are bound to change. Probably the most common change will be that you and your spouse will not have sex as often as you did when you first were married. If this bothers you, or any other changes, talk openly and honestly to your spouse about your feelings and concerns.

Rule #5

Last, but certainly not least, work things out together. If you have a disagreement, which there are bound to be many throughout your married life, don't let things get out of hand. Talk things over as calmly as possible and agree or learn to compromise on a solution to the problem, then kiss and make-up and go on. Don't hold grudges against each other. And don't make the mistake of taking each other for granted either. Life is full of uncertainties, but death is certain. None of us know exactly how much time we have on this planet, and how much time we have to enjoy the company of our spouses, so don't waste it on not getting along! The logical idea is that if a guy makes a girl feel good, then she will stay with him forever because she will feel happy around him. Is this is absolute truth ? Not quite… If I look at all my relationships, including girlfriend, friends and family, I tend to hang out with those that make me feel good more often.

Most people seek to avoid pain and gain pleasure, and feeling good is the definition of pleasurable. There are some pitfalls however, if you make someone feel good by degrading yourself socially, then that person will not respect you. The idea is that you cannot make someone feel good if, in terms of status, you are not worth anything. Let me elaborate.

If you are a clingy guy who always tells a girl that she is beautiful, she might enjoy it the first time, but she’ll soon come to realize that you are putting her up on a pedestal. Since everything is relative, telling her that she looks great consequently means that you do not look as good as her. When your social value drops, your ability to make her feel happy drops substantially. For example, imagine a famous actor of your choice walking down the red carpet. Now a crazed fan runs up to him and tells your favorite actor that he is amazing. “Big deal” he thinks, another fan. In this situation, the fan might have a masters in Cinematography, it wouldn’t matter, the approach taken by the fan reduced his value to less than zero and therefore his compliment had absolutely no effect. However, if another person, say… a respected peer of the actor, maybe a co-star, came up to him and told him he really played a specific part in the movie well, then this statement would be valued much more.

The golden rule on how to make a girl like you.
So how does this relate to making a girl feel good ? Remember the golden rule that people will feel comfortable around you IF you feel comfortable yourself. Same applies to feeling good, if you feel good, then she shall feel good as well. Enjoy life, be happy and it shall be contagious. In order to make her feel good, she must be happy to be around you.

If you must compliment her, make sure that she deserves it. Tell her something specific, accurate and include yourself in the goodness as well. There is a huge difference in saying: “We’re the best looking couple at this Halloween party” and “You look the best at this Halloween party”. But enough about looks, people don’t care as much about looks as society leads us to think. Here are some quick situational examples:

* Get her to cook for you, and then tell her the food was amazing
* Go out and do a team activity, and then ‘talk her up’
* If she’s putting herself down… talk her up
* If she’s talking herself up… tease her!

If you’re still wondering how to make a girl feel good, then I’ll leave you with this piece of information: Make sure to read the book Double Your Dating by David DeAngelo, it shows you how to make a girl feel so good she’ll be addicted to you for life. No. But you need to be. Without leadership, the ship that is your small business will aimlessly circle and eventually run out of power or run aground.

It’s not having followers that defines leadership. Cool-headed, farseeing, visionary, courageous – whichever adjectives you choose, leadership is a winning combination of personal traits and the ability to think and act as a leader, a person who directs the activities of others for the good of all. Anyone can be a leader, even if the only person they’re leading is themselves.

But you can’t become a leader just by saying you are. Leadership needs to be worked at. Transform yourself into a leader with these five keys of leadership.

1. A leader plans.

The core of leadership is being proactive rather than reactive. Sure, leaders are good in crises – but that doesn’t mean they sit around letting crises develop. Leadership involves identifying potential problems and solving them before they reach crisis proportions – and the ability to identify and reap potential windfalls. So good leaders analyze and plan and adapt their plans to new circumstances and opportunities.

2. A leader has a vision.

Vision is essential to good leadership. Vision provides direction and without direction, there’s not much point to all that planning; your small business will still flail about. So if you don’t have one already, take your first step towards leadership by creating a Vision Statement for your business. Because it embodies your dreams and your passions, a vision statement will also serve as a leadership vision.

3. A leader shares her vision.

Sharing your leadership vision helps your vision grow and your leadership develop. As you tell your leadership vision to others, you will strengthen your own belief in your vision and strengthen your determination to make your leadership vision become reality. And other people will start to see you as a person who’s “going places”. Your leadership skills will grow as you and other people recognize you as a person with leadership potential.

4. A leader takes charge.

At this stage of leadership, you put together your planning and your leadership vision and take action. Whether it’s implementing a specific plan to improve your business’s bottom line or responding to a crisis, you, as the leader, are the one who makes the decisions and sees that the appropriate actions are carried out. You can’t just “talk a good game” to be a leader; you need to act and to be seen as taking effective action for the good of your small business.

5. A leader inspires through example.

If I asked you, you could easily name three people whose leadership qualities inspire you. If I asked you why, you’d tell me about the things these inspiring people did or are doing. Leadership is defined through action. Therefore, in developing your own leadership skills, you have to act in ways that are fitting to your leadership vision and your self – all the time. We can all name many actions of other people whom we admire, but what inspires us is the integrity that gives these actions meaning.

Becoming a leader isn’t easy because it takes a conscious commitment and consistent effort to develop one’s leadership skills. But on the positive side, anyone who is willing to make the effort can become a good leader.

And as good leadership is critical to business success, your efforts to improve your leadership skills will be amply rewarded. Eyes give your face energy and individuality. They do not have to be a certain size or shape to be considered pretty - all eyes have their own unique beauty. When makeup is applied to look natural it will bring out the eye’s true color and enhance the eye’s beauty. When you feel good about your makeup you will be more confident and will have one less thing to worry about.

A subtle application of eyeliner, shadows and mascara work together to create magic and make your eyes look their best.

Eye Shadow

Eye shadow is meant to highlight and define the eyes. Eye shadow is used to create depth to bring out the beauty of the eyes. A dark color used on the lid will make the eye appear smaller, while a lighter color will make it appear larger. That is what eye shadow is about creating illusions. These are the basic techniques for the following eye shapes:

Small eyes: Don’t use too much shadow or liner – it will make you eyes look smaller. Apply a light color on eyelid, use a darker color in the crease and use a highlighter under the brow.

Large eyes: Wear darker shadow on the lid and extend it to the crease. Use a flat color under the brow to highlight.

Deep-set eyes: Use light colors on the eyelid and under the brow. Use a medium color in the crease. Emphasize the outer corners with shadow.

Wide-set eyes: Use darker colors on the inner corners of the eye.

Hooded eyes: Apply light colors on the lid. Use darker colors from the center of the eyelid to the outer corners and blend.

Round eyes: Make round eyes longer by using color all around and extending toward the outer corners.

Asian eyes: Apply highlighter under the brow. Use light shadow on the inner half of the lid and a darker color on the outer half.

1. Light colors cause the eyes to open, dark colors will cause the eyes to recede

2. If you have very light skin avoid dark shades

3. Be careful with shimmer – they will bring attention to imperfections and wrinkles.

4. The eye area is the first to show age don’t tug on the skin.

Eyeliners:

Eyeliners are meant to define the eyes so they should do just that, not be the focal point of your makeup. Eyeliners come in various colors and forms liquid, pencil etc. Keep the eyeliner natural. Pencils are available in many colors (for the best look stick to black or brown) and can be sharpened for a fine line. For a smudged effect use a sponge tip shadow applicator or an eye shadow brush. When your pencils are too soft refrigerate them. When they are too hard soften them by holding them between your fingers.

To line the eye, start on the lower lid, just beneath the lashes. When you are finished always smudge the line with your sponge. Stay as close to the lash line as possible. On the upper lid, draw a line form the inner corner to the outer corner, thickening the line toward the outer corner. After the age of 40 keep the line in between the lashes.

Mascara and the creation of beautiful lashes:

Mascara frames your eyes and can make your face come alive. Mascara softly accentuates the eye while thickening and darkening the lashes; it is the finishing touch for eyes. There are several different types to choose from, thickening, and waterproof to smudge proof. Waterproof will need a special remover and smudge proof will wash off easily. It is not a good idea to wear waterproof mascara for extended periods of time since it has a tendency to dry the lashes.

Select a shade of mascara that complements your coloring. Dark shades on pale eyes with brown lashes will darken them and will look harsh. Stay away from blues and other colors since they will ruin your look.

Lashes that are hard to curl may need the help of an eyelash curler. Curl your lashes before you apply mascara – hold for ten to twenty seconds.

To apply mascara look straight into your mirror with your chin slightly lifted so you can see your lashes. Insert the wand only once and twist, don’t pump. Pumping can break the brush bristles and distribute the mascara unevenly and will dry out the mascara faster. Start by rolling the wand from root to tip in an upward motion. Reinsert the brush and apply again. If your eyelashes are thick and long they may clunk together. If this happens let them dry and then separate them with the corner of an eyebrow brush. Meeting enough singles of the opposite sex to find the person you want involves a multi-faceted, proactive campaign. Your campaign makes you easy to find.

Just as you are proactive in your career, with your kids, and in other aspects of your life (or at least I suspect you are), you should also be proactive about finding a mate/lover!

How can men and women be proactive? By doing everything they can think of to meet a mate. I'm a big believer in lists. They keep you on track. There is something magic about writing a list, looking at it often, making notes about outcomes, and even revising or adding to that list.

I am offering you my list of proactive ways to meet people just to get you started thinking in the right direction. Join, join, join, then join something else!

1. Join non-profit social groups. You will be meeting new people and expanding your circle of potential mates/lovers.

2. Join church singles' groups. It is not hypocritical to join a church group for the purpose of meeting someone special. Most church singles groups exist to give you a way to meet someone who shares your faith and values. Of course, if your head is on a swivel during the 11 o'clock service, that is a different matter. A time and a place...

3. Join a reasonably-priced (under $1000 total) matchmaking or dating service. One word of warning: In my opinion, some matchmaking/dating services are more in the business of getting you to sign a long-term, very expensive contract than they are in connecting you to someone special. If a service will not willingly give you prices over the phone, move on to another service. There is no reason a service can not give you a price or a price range before they see or interview you. Matchmaker or dating service? Click here for a comparison. But the warning about dating services also applies to matchmaking services. Get prices over the phone or get another matchmaking service.

4. Join DinnerMatch. It is available whereever singles reside and is free to join. Singles are matched for age/race preferences plus interest commanalities, then 3-to-4 matched couples are invited to dine together in a nice, local restaurant. The next day, you go online to indicate which of those singles you would like to see again. If you both say "yes," DinnerMatch will give both of you the other's contact information. Check out DinnerMatch here.

5. Join special interest groups. If you enjoy mountain biking, join a mountain biking group. If you have a vegetarian diet, join a vegetarian group. If you enjoy the theater, join a theater group. There will be some singles for you to meet in almost any group you join.

6. Try speed dating, rapid date or Express Meet. Whatever you want to call it, if it is available in your area, this is a GREAT way to have 6 or 7 or more first dates at one time. General information about speed dating here.

Get out of your house! Go out, out, out! Hang where the opposite sex hangs. That's obvious but...

7. Go where some people gather. It does not have to be a club or singles bar. It can be the library, the park, the mall, even the movies. Meet a few eyes, smile, and say "hello." Don't limit your smiles to attractive people of the opposite-sex, however. Be friendly with everyone. Remember, you can be talking to a sweet, little old granny when her good-looking grandchild comes up and joins the conversation.

8. Volunteer. But volunteer where you find people interaction. Volunteering to staple the newsletter at home will help your favorite cause or charity. Going to a newsletter gathering where compatible people label, staple, and stamp the letter while interacting with each other works much better for your cause.

9. Walk your dog, cat, bird, ferret in the park or in a busy apartment complex.

10. Take your child to the park or the zoo or the PTA meeting. Look around; meet some eyes; smile; start a conversation. If you don't have a child, borrow one from your sister or brother.

11. Take classes that you think will attract the opposite sex. Continuing education classes are great. Take a cooking class, a computer class, a skydiving class, a drawing class, an archery class. Try to find classes that are at least two sessions long to increase your chances of talking to the person who catches your eye.

Make a list and work your list for meeting singles and finding protential mate/lovers.

12. Find some places where people eat out alone. They are available in any city of size. Go there to eat without keeping your head in a book the entire time.

13. Go to new places. Quit the places you have been frequenting. They are comfortable but they are obviously not working for you.

14. Go to free or relatively inexpensive dance lessons. County and western bars, square dance clubs, swing clubs, and private instructors offer dance classes that give you a great opportunity to mingle and meet. Dancing has immediate and long-lasting meeting opportunities. Many lessons are free. Others have nominal charges. Another word of warning: avoid the places that will not willingly give prices over the phone. They are probably more interested in having you sign that long-term and expensive contract than they are in teaching you to dance. My opinion, of course.

15. Whenever possible, go to places where people talk and get to know each other. People talk at happy hours, dinner groups, and dance lessons. They are relatively silent in movies, some types of performances such as ballet or theater, and church. They have a hard time hearing at concerts, clubs with loud music, and loud restaurants. It's harder to talk while walking or even running in a park than when touring a museum. However, it is easier to start a conversation in the museum. Remember, that you want to an opportunity to interact with people.

Do the personals: write profiles; write replies; join; write some more profiles!

16. Go online. It is an unfortunate fact that print ads are dead. It is also true that online ads have a few more problems than print ads. However, some online personals are monitored and all online personals, even with their problems, do allow people to meet.

17. Place ads in places that are free. Most places allow you to place a free ad so do it!!

18. Reply to ads. Yes, it often costs a nominal fee to reply but singles who reply to ads meet more people than singles who take the passive approach. Remember, this is about being proactive not saving $25 or $30 a month!!

Talk it up! Tell the world you are looking!

19. Tell your friends, co-workers, Aunt Minnie, and the pizza delivery person that you are looking; you want to be introduced to their single friends and relatives. This is another way to expand your circle of potential mates/lovers.

20. Don't be humble. Point out your good points and let people know why you they should introduce you to their friends and relatives.

Be an interesting person. Read, do, and think.

21. Don't be boring. It amazes me how many people want someone to jumpstart their lives for them. They are boring, boring, boring. I've heard many a single say that women don't want a good guy or men don't really like nice girls. This means that singles want to be around people who are interesting. "Bad" people are often interesting--they have a sense of passion and excitement about them. "Good" people are often boring. It does not have to be that way!!

22. Read and stay current on many, many things besides sports, movies, pets, and that adorable child of yours.

23. Do something different at least once a month. People who never try anything new are safe and they are boring!!

24. Expand your interests. Become an expert on something besides the remote control. Get involved. Get a passion. Passionate people are interesting!

25. Use your mind. Think about values, philosophies and issues of the day. Although we should all avoid political and religious discussions on the first few meetings, at least show that you understand both sides of an issue and that you are a thinking person.

Summary: Be easy to find.

It is absolutely true. Love finds the person who is easy to find.

You probably thought of some new ways to meet people as you were reading my list. Include everything on your list that you can imagine as ways to meet people.

Now number your list in the ways that are most comfortable or practical for you.

The rest is simple. Try numbers one, two and three simultaneously. Give them a few days or weeks, then try numbers four, five, and six simultaneously.

Personally, I try five or six new things each month while working on some of my problems--like becoming a more interesting person. Barrie Travis was not famous; he only the reporter was talented that was trapped in a TV station bermodal small. One day, when the United States First Lady invited him for a coffee... and offered a very special story. The wife President who was sinking in the sadness because of his Putra's death, tried to drop a hint to Barrie that his child the possibility was killed, and not died resulting from SIDS the death syndrome of the sudden baby.

Was determined to look for the truth, the kick lunged at Barrie to expose the exclusive news evidently tested all the ethics, the feeling patriottisem, and his courage. And finally, with help Gray Bondurant, one of President's right former hands that was handsome and mysterious, he tore-torn the White House scandal that was most rotten; the secret that when being exposed will slaughter President. However their efforts were not easy, because the big strength that obstructed them only had one task, that is confirming that the scandal must be buried forevermore.

And that meant the death for whoever tried to tear down him. If only read the book book review above, apparently already ketebak the channel he said. That the president that was guilty. Evidently not right... This book really stressful and interesting to be read until was finished.

Humankind could take the wrong decision and caused the person who was not guilty to become guilty. This doesn’t mean you have to be the life of every party, but it does mean developing strong bonds that can help you through the ups and downs of the world. In order to have great friends, though, you also need to be one. Not sure if you are? Here are some tips.

Instructions

1. Be there for them when they need you, not when you need something from them. Good friends don’t call up people only to request a favor. While knowing people that can help you out is important, it’s equally important not to abuse the relationship. Focus on what your friend is going through at the moment. Are they happy? A little lonely? Maybe they need to talk about their kid going away to college or the fact that they are worried about their in-laws. Whatever the situation, put yourself second and listen to what’s being said directly and implied in their conversations.

2. Don’t wait for friends to call you. Make an effort to keep in touch with people. Everyone is busy, but if you want to maintain good friendships you should be proactive about communications. It doesn’t mean you have to sit on the phone for two hours a day, but it does mean you send an email, a card, or give them a quick call to let them know you’re thinking about them.

3. Respond to them in a timely manner. There’s nothing more frustrating than sending a friend an email or note, and having them ignore it because they are “too busy.” Everyone is busy. If someone is your friend, you make the effort to be kind to them. Responding to their questions and requests is one way you can do that.

4. Don’t be part of the gossip train. Bad mouthing people you call friends is one of the worst things you can do. Don’t be catty or talk about them behind their backs. Don’t hang out with someone just so you can go back to someone else and talk about your friend. Decide if you are someone’s friend, or not, and act accordingly.

5. Be happy for them. It may sound ridiculous, but some folks just can’t be happy at their friend’s successes. Don’t be someone that’s only in for complaining about life. When your friend hits it big – celebrate with them. When they’re interviewing for a new job – pull for them. When they want to find love – be gracious and supportive when they find it. There is nothing better in the world than having people that support and care about you. Go out of your way to show your support for your friend. Mayer's third studio album follows the multi-platinum ROOM FOR SQUARES (2001) and HEAVIER THINGS (2003) and marks his first turn as producer. It is his most soulful, cohesive collection yet and he says it's no accident that this project is where all of his efforts, his potential, and his disparate influences fully come together.

"The night I was recognized for 'Daughters' at the Grammys was the night this record started," he says. "I knew I had bought the time to learn everything I needed before I started this one. CONTINUUM is not a shot in the dark, it's not a guesstimation. This is the first endeavor in my entire life, music or otherwise, that I did not cop out for a second on."

The last few years have seen Mayer maintaining a frantic pace. In addition to his own writing, recording, and touring, he has collaborated with icons and contemporaries alike - Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Herbie Hancock, as well as Kanye West, the Dixie Chicks, and Alicia Keys. In doing so, Mayer says his own interests have grown and his perspectives expanded.

Mayer also credits his collaboration with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino (collectively known as the John Mayer Trio) and the intimate-venue tour that produced the 2005 live album TRY! with helping to recalibrate his musical priorities. "As a songwriter, the Trio helped me focus on being more raw," he says. "As a guitar player, it helped me get a lot out of my system. If it wasn't for the Trio, CONTINUUM would have been less accessible. It let me settle up with my needs as a musician, and get to a point somewhere between the Trio record and ROOM FOR SQUARES - and that's a really good place to be."

While the Trio tour showcased Mayer's blazing fretwork, he says he learned lessons from those shows about restraint. "When I made my first record, there was no trust in space because it was all me, everything was just on those six strings," he says. "With Steve and Pino, it was all about space, using a whole different palette. When your tone is good on the guitar you need, like, four notes. The more concise and right you have it, the less you need around it."

Mayer points to one song in particular as the turning point for CONTINUUM. "I wrote 'Gravity' last summer, and it changed everything," he says. "You talk less when you trust that people understand you. 'Gravity' had to be sparse. And when I listened to it - for the first time, holding back - then it was a whole new game. That might be the most important song I ever wrote."

Armed with this outlook, Mayer knew CONTINUUM would tackle larger ideas than those that defined his previous albums. "A big challenge was writing about big themes," he says. "I'm not a better writer in terms of sitting down in front of a pad, but I'm better in terms of receiving inspiration and converting it into something 'real' quicker. I'm better equipped to deal with those moments."

With "Waiting on the World to Change", Mayer shot for something even more ambitious - something like an attempt to explain his generation's attitudes about politics. "It's meant to shed a little light on inactivity and inaction," he says, "because I don't believe that inaction is disinterest, I think inaction is preservation – nobody wants to get involved in a debate in which the rules and the facts will change so that they'll lose. So we end up with this other option, which is, I guess we'll just have to wait for things to get better.

Having just announced a co-headlining tour with Sheryl Crow to help launch CONTINUUM, Mayer is raring to start playing his new material for an audience. "This record is infinitely playable," he says. "I built so many corners into these songs I cannot wait to play them live."

Ultimately, CONTINUUM represents maturity, both musically and thematically, for John Mayer – a concept that he wasn't comfortable with until now. "A lot of these songs are about coming to terms with getting older," he says. "My generation was never told we were going to get older. We thought we were going to hear our names on 'Romper Room' for the rest of our lives. For a long time, I was really upset about getting older, worried that things were just going to level out.

"But then I realized that everyone around me was all getting older at the same time. We're all fighting it together, and we're always going to be those kids, the first really emotionally aware generation. When I realized that, I could relax about it a little bit. And I thought that maybe I can be the guy to sing about it." Relationships work when people learn to base relationships on sharing. Truelove grows when people see each other as partners in life and not property, trophies or someone else who they are obsessed with.

To make relationships work and last long people in a relationship should do the best to make sure that their partner feels comfortable, relaxed and happy when their together and even when their not together if possible. And never let crazy people break You up.
And Most importantly ... when it comes to making a relationship You have to do things You don't want to do if your Partner wants to do it (it's called sacrificing for Love and if You don't do it .. You will never know what Love is). You don't always have to do or say what they want but it Both of you have to sacrifice to make things work.

Once people understand what a good relationship is based and are not worried about being single or not they can start building good relationship. Once the good relationships are worked on ... they relationship can work out.

All relationships blossom into loving relationships when people decide to share instead of trying to change each other. Another thing that people may find helpful is to see their partners as friend since that's what they really are. Even if both people stay single they can be happily in love. Stop thinking of your partner as "Your" object. They are "part" ners in a relation "ship". Good relationships are truly friendships.

Keeping relationships healthy

When confusion or problems come up...they should be dealt with immediately because that little bad seed can grow to be a horrible issue that could burden the entire relationship in the long run or end it. There are occasional mistakes in all relationships but as long as they're solved things can work out. Most people insist that the most important part of a relationship is actually communication but I consider sharing the most important part of a relationship.

Communication is simple the ability to share express and listen to your partner at all times. Fairness is much more important then simply communicating because fairness keeps balance and harmony in the relationship.

Personality differences

They're a big different between personality traits and changeable behaviors. Someone's personality traits don't change since they are imbedded into "who someone is". The behavior of someone is changeable but personalities stay. Its just best to understand the type of person you really want in your life before jumping into a relationship that you won't really be happy in. Even though there can be completely different personalities between 2 people in a relationship, most people can be in a deeply loving and fulfilling relationship.

When you get into a relationship with someone you deeply care about or love you need to always remember that sharing is what creates harmony in relationships. Sharing is not giving blindly, sharing is not giving to those who don't deserve, sharing is when both people give a little without question. With true Love, people know what's fair. A strong sense of discomfort is the obvious sign that something is wrong. So share and care but stay aware and don't give to those who don't deserve it.

Ending relationships

This is a pretty big step. Its difficult to let go of someone that you've gotten use to. It's usually easier to end relationships slowly instead of just jumping out of a relationship impulsively. Make sure you are ending a bad relationship and not a good one. Sometimes it's best to try to work things out a few times before completely ending a relationship just because you are not willing to listen or give the other person a second or third chance. If nothing else work it's best to end a relationship and don't just use the other person as a friend you keep as an emergency pal. When ending a relationships make sure you let the other person express himself or herself. Sometimes people just stay with each other because there's nothing else to do. If you want to do that it's perfectly okay but make sure you are a good partner.

Make sure to give your partner a warning and a period to slowly get use to living without you to make sure obsessions don't develop and be honest. Don't play with peoples feelings by ending and then restarting the relationship just because you feel lonely. People are not toys. If you eventually change your mind and want to return to your partner make sure to be completely honest but if you are sure make sure to never sway from your decision to end the relationship. The music still sounds like it's coming from my heart and my soul and my voice. That is always the most important thing to me. My goal on "Awake" was to create the music and find the best people to help me create it," commented Groban.

With a lineup of stellar producers including Marius DeVries, Guy Sigsworth, Glen Ballard and David Foster, the album contains songs in Italian, Spanish and of course English. An early stand-out, "February Song" with Josh on keyboards came to the 25-year-old Los Angeles native on a sleepless night. “I wanted to write a song that melodically and lyrically represented the craziness I felt in that moment in the dark dark space. I walked over to the piano and it just came to me in a half hour in the most magical way."

Additionally, Groban recorded a suite of two stunningly haunting songs where he harmonizes with longtime idols Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The first song, the Groban/Dave Mattthews penned "Lullaby" is sung a cappella and the follow up, the South African song, "Weeping" which Josh first heard on a trip to South Africa. "The musical tapestry of the country and their heated history, the honor of meeting Nelson Mandela and visiting schools in Soweto was totally inspiring. And, it was a dream of a lifetime for me to sing with Ladysmith in the studio. I've loved them from the moment I heard Paul Simon's Graceland."

Josh Groban burst on to the international music scene in 2001 with the release of his self-titled debut album featuring the hit single, "To Where You Are." His follow up CD "Closer" with the smash hit "You Raise Me Up" brought enormous success to the young singing sensation. He has made scores of television appearances beginning with Ally McBeal and continuing with countless performances on Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, The Today Show, two PBS specials, the Superbowl, the Oscars and the closing ceremonies of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics with an audience of over 2 billion people. His first PBS Special went on to become the No. 1 selling DVD of 2002. On the touring front, Groban started out his now legendary 40-city concert tour (which sold out in a record breaking 20 minutes) and then went straight forward to a two year arena tour across the US. A Josh Groban tour for 2007 is expected to be announced shortly. Well, I’ve got even more ideas to add to your resolution list. Like, 10 of them. And they’re all related to beautifying you. So please proceed to find out…

1. Sleep - You know the old saying, “get your beauty sleep.” A sufficient amount of sleep every night is conducive to looking more beautiful. So, please, girls, aim at getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

2. Balanced Diet - Eat a nutritious, balanced diet for healthier, glowing skin and brighter eyes. And yes, that means including all five- food groups. What goes inside does reflect on the outside.

3. Clean Your Cosmetic Bag - Is that lipstick you bought since 2 years ago still sitting in your makeup bag? Or that funky-smelling mascara taking up space there too? And is it time to toss that ancient lip-gloss and swap it for a new one? Ok, well I’ve got an ingenious, ground-breaking, earth shattering idea for you… throw out all your old makeup you know you’re never going to use! Out with the old and in with the new…

4. Update Your Look - Have you been wearing the same lip color for nearly a decade now? Then take a little trip to the Estee Lauder counter, get a makeover, and replace your frosted Maybelline for a new lip shade (hey, not that I don’t like Maybelline). Or maybe you’ve been sporting the same hairstyle since you were a freshman in college (I hate to say this, but for some of you, that’s a really long time ago). But seriously, march your tush into the hair salon or phone a friend who knows what the heck he or she is doing, and get a new sexy ‘do for Pete’s sake. Start the New Year with a bang (no pun intended).

5. Pamper Yourself - Whether you’re treating yourself to a DIY facial, or indulging in a hot-stone massage, a little pampering every now and then goes a long way. And there’s no better way to rejuvenate for 2008 than getting a spa treatment.

6. Quit Smoking - I know, I know. This one is the epitome of clichés for New Years’ resolutions. But, come on, the cancer stick not only um, causes cancer, but it promotes yellow teeth, sallow, wrinkly skin, and dulling hair. Enough said.

7. Nourish Your Skin - Invest in a quality facial moisturizer packed with antioxidants and an eye cream to nourish that delicate eye area. It might be a bit pricey but trust me it’s worth it.

8. Purchase a New Perfume - Get out of your fragrance rut, and stop being so loyal to the same scent you’ve been wearing for months, or even years. My Mom was attached to her Victoria’s Secret Pear Glace body spray, but once she tried a mist of my Jennifer Lopez Live, that was the end of her love affair with Pear Glace. But hey, it doesn’t mean you should never wear your old favorite perfume every now and then. Just switch it up.

9. Get a New Smile - Well first let me clarify. I’m not saying you should book an appointment with a cosmetic dentist for porcelain veneers. What I mean is, get your teeth professionally cleaned and whitened by your dentist. And maintain them with whitening toothpaste and flossing regularly. Yep, flossing. That’s something most of us are guilty of not doing on a regular basis. A whiter, brighter smile is a big beauty bonus, gals.

10. Inner Beauty - Get a soul makeover by cultivating more kindness. Make someone’s day - smile at a random stranger or make truce with an old friend or relative whom you haven’t spoken to for years. It won’t cost you a dime to help make the world a nicer place. Hear the revealing scoop right here.

Hilary Duff breezes into her Cosmo cover shoot at a New York City photo studio and cheerily gives out hugs and kisses to everyone on set. You'd never know the girl hasn't been getting much sleep lately until she makes a desperate request: "A skim latte with an extra shot of espresso — please!"

And while some young celebs require an energy boost because they've been hanging at nightclubs until the wee hours, Hilary's just seeking to fuel her ambitious work agenda. It's a schedule that entails recording new music, working on two films, raising money for kids through the Blessings in a Backpack organization, and going on a world tour. "This has been a big cleansing year for me," the Texas native declares. "I learned a ton about myself, and I became really independent. I feel like I grew up a lot."

And we're not just talking emotional maturity here — at 20, with long honey-colored locks, a smokin' bod, and killer confidence, Hilary's looking every bit the hot Hollywood starlet. Dressed in white skinny jeans, 4-inch heels, and a sexy off-the-shoulder black top, it's hard to believe she's the same girl who not long ago starred in such family-friendly flicks as Cheaper by the Dozen and 2004's A Cinderella Story.

Appearance aside, she's making more sophisticated professional choices too. She recently finished filming War, Inc., a political satire, alongside John Cusack, and she's now working on a drama with veteran actress Ellen Burstyn called Greta, which deals with suicide. Furthermore, her latest album, Dignity — which she's re-releasing early this year with two new tracks — references the difficult subject of her parents' recent divorce.

Writing music, she says, was somewhat of a catharsis. "It's therapeutic, but it's also stressful because it's hard to open yourself up like that," she says. "I felt kind of numb for a while-nothing made me too sad, and nothing made me too happy. But about four months ago, I thought, 'Wow, I feel like myself again.' "

Coincidentally or not, Hilary's happiness rebounded around the time she met her current boyfriend- Mike Comrie, pro hockey player for the New York Islanders- on a plane while headed to Idaho to vacation with mutual friends. They've been inseparable ever since, spending time in Canada (where he's from), L.A., and New York. When Mike stops by the Cosmo shoot, they sit, heads bowed in conversation. Halfway through lunch, Kanye West's "Stronger" blasts over the studio speakers, prompting Hilary to stand up and dance flirtatiously in front of Mike. Now this is a side of Hilary few people have seen.

Days later, on the set of Greta at the Jersey Shore, Hilary explains what drew her to Mike. "He's funny, and I like that. And of course I'm attracted to him!" she says with a giggle. "I love men who have a lot going on in their lives, like I do." Presumably referencing her ex, Joel Madden (who at press time was awaiting the birth of his child with girlfriend Nicole Richie), Hilary says: "Everyone thought that my last boyfriend and I were complete opposites. We weren't-we just looked so different. But Mike and I really are opposites, even though we look more like we should be together."

So how serious is it? "I'm definitely not ready to get married!" she says, then adds, "I think a reason that people in this business get married young is that they feel like everything comes to them sooner in life. It's normal to be like 'Okay, what's next?' "

For Hilary, the next thing on tap is maintaining the equilibrium she's found...in all areas of life. "There definitely was a time when I was pretty obsessed with my weight, but I'm better off not stressing about my body all the time," she says. "It's not attractive when girls get superskinny. Guys don't like it. Girls don't like you as much. You lose some happiness when that's all you think about." And why stress about your waistline when there are way more fun things to do, such as cooking at the house she shares with sister Haylie or going to the movies and the beach? "I like to go out but not every night," she says. "All the paparazzi attention is so heightened right now." Something tells us that if anyone can stand up to the scrutiny, it's Hilary, who told Cosmo, "My mom always says, 'If you don't believe in something , you'll lose yourself completely.' " Clearly, what Hilary believes in is staying away from drama, even in a town that thrives on it. And that may be her most daring feat of all. Citra Pandianganhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03190871497780207559noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1695762814339615215.post-44069238415475885622008-01-05T01:58:00.000-08:002008-12-09T07:28:34.230-08:00Tom Cruise
Birth Name
Thomas Cruise Mapother IV

Height
5' 7" (1.70 m)

Mini Biography

In 1976, if you had told 14 year old Franciscan seminary student Thomas Cruise Mapother IV that one day in the not too distant future he would be considered one of the top 100 movie stars of all time, he would have probably grinned and told you that his ambition was to become a priest. Nonetheless, this sensitive, deeply religious youngster who was born in 1962 in Syracuse, New York, was destined to become Tom Cruise, one of the highest paid and most sought after actors in screen history. The only son (among four children) of nomadic parents young Tom spent his boyhood eternally on the move and by the time he was 14 he had attended 15 different schools in the US and Canada. He finally settled in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, with his mother and her new husband. While in high school, he developed an interest in acting and abandoned his plans of becoming a priest, dropped out of school, and at age 18 headed for New York and a possible acting career. The next 15 years of his life are the stuff of legends. He made his film debut with a small part in Endless Love (1981) and from the outset exhibited an undeniable box office appeal to both male and female audiences.

Though below average height and not particularly handsome in the traditional sense, within 5 years Tom Cruise was starring in some of the top grossing films of the 1980s including Top Gun (1986); The Color of Money (1986), Rain Man (1988) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). By the 1990s he was one of the highest paid actors in the world earning an average 15 million dollars a picture in such blockbuster hits as Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994), Mission: Impossible (1996) and Jerry Maguire (1996) - for which he received an Academy Award Nomination for best actor. In 1990 he renounced his devout Catholic beliefs and embraced The Church Of Scientology claiming that Scientology teachings had cured him of the dyslexia that had plagued him all of his life. A kind and thoughful man well known for his compassion and generosity, Tom Cruise is one of the best liked members of the movie community. He was married to actress Nicole Kidman until 2001. Redstone said the firm terminated its deal with Cruise due to the under-performance of Mission: Impossible III (2006) (which had been expected to gross $100-150 million more than it did), which he attributed to Cruise's "bad behavior". Movie pundits were somewhat surprised by the announcement, as Cruise remains the top B.O. draw in North America and was Paramount's cash cow. Cruise's films reportedly have accounted for 32% of Paramount Pictures' revenues in the last six years, and he was named the Top Box Office draw for a record 7th time by Quigley Publications for the year 2005. As part of its machinations before severing its connections with Cruise, Paramount leaked to the press the information that the deal was worth $10 million annually; however, the development deal actually was for $3 million per annum. At the time of the announcement, Cruise and his advisers were considering Paramount's new offer of $2 million per year in development money when Redstone dropped his bombshell. The news gave rise to speculation that Paramount has run out of cash as it reportedly has told other development partners with which it has deals to use their own cash for the rest of the year, with the proviso they will be reimbursed come 2007.

In September of 2006, he visited actress Brooke Shields at her home and personally apologized to her for criticizing her in 2005 about her use of prescription medication to overcome her post par-tum depression. Just follow our brilliant tips.

By Jennifer Benjamin

1. Just Wing It

If you're entering the fast lane, being bound by a strict time line is just going to slow you down. "When you get caught up in the details and restrictions of having a plan, you get stuck thinking it can be done only one way," says Victoria Colligan, cofounder of Ladies Who Launch, a networking organization for female entrepreneurs. "As a result, you may miss an opportunity to take an atypical, yet speedier, course or lose drive when things don't go according to your schedule." In other words, if your point-by-point plot says you need step B to get to C, you probably aren't looking when a not-so-obvious opportunity pops up to skip right to D.

Example: You want to own a restaurant. You could start out as a hostess (step B) and work your way up to manager (C), learning the food biz as you go. It's a solid way to gain valuable experience, but if you want to be a restaurateur, like, right now, it's smart to keep an eye open for an alternate path.

Maybe you grab the chance to work as a food or equipment supplier, connecting with other vendors who have insider tips and forging a unique, more lateral relationship with seasoned owners. The point is, the clear route is not always the most productive one. You need to be flexible and open to pioneering your own custom-made course.

2. Have a Huge Ego

Obviously, you're not sitting around, meekly saying, "Who, me?" every time you're given kudos, but in this current climate, you have to PR yourself hardcore. However, you need to do it in a savvy way -- plugging your abilities without turning your boss or clients off with your bragging. "To accelerate your career, you want to get attention from the higher-ups, so you must be strategically pushy," confirms Barbara Stanny, author of Overcoming Underearning.

To do this, recognize key opportunities to sell yourself. The big moments are obvious -- during your review or a meeting with the boss -- but there are little openings throughout the day that, if seized upon, can be a conduit to your rise, says Kate Wendleton, president of the national career coaching organization The Five O'Clock Club and author of Navigating Your Career.

A model case: You're riding the elevator with the boss. Don't screw your moment by gushing over her shoes as other employees may do. Instead, self-compliment. When she asks how you are, say, "Great, I redid the window display last week and it has brought in a ton of new business." Is it aggressive? Abso-freakin'-lutely, but it works.

3. Cherry-Pick Your Assignments

Obviously, the higher-ups appreciate a team player -- that never goes out of style. But rather than offering to lend a hand with any undertaking (like a huge photocopying endeavor), only throw your hat in the ring for the plum projects. "That way, you are using your time to show off your skills and do something important for the company," says Wendleton. Plus, if you're constantly doing menial tasks, they'll pigeonhole you as the assistant type, and you may get stalled on your career path.

So ask a superior if he or she needs help with the workload on an important assignment -- a busy colleague will appreciate the break. Then, make your boss aware of your initiative by saying something like, "I've been working on a few inventory reports for Tom, and I'm really learning a lot. I'd be happy to take on more." Bingo. "By shouldering some of the responsibilities of a higher position, you're showing the boss that you're up to the task," says NYC career counselor Lynn Berger. "When it comes time to promote someone, they'll look to the person who they already know has the skills: you." In the a.m., you crave soft shades that reflect sunlight. After dark, your pupils dilate and inhibitions fade, so deep eyeliners and bold hues appeal. Here are all the colors — and expert tricks — that will keep you gorgeous around the clock.

Weekend

Your strategy: Keep it soft and sheer during the day. At night, experiment with an ultraglam look.

Sun-kissed skin. Extra sleep on the weekend helps restore circulation, making under-eye circles less obvious. So just use a tinted moisturizer with SPF and top with bronzer, says Pati Dubroff, a celeb makeup artist for Dior.

Radiant cheeks. Chances are, you’re already rosy, since you’re getting more outdoor activity and vitamin-D exposure now than during the week, notes NYC dermatologist Francesca Fusco. Opt for a sheer blush with a powder base — it will last for hours.

Shimmery eyes. Simply touching your eyelids feels soothing, says psychologist Andrew Williams, PhD, author of How Do You Compare? So stroke on a soft shadow with your finger to maintain your relaxed mode. “Then dot liner between your lashes,” says makeup artist Mally Roncal. “It defines your eyes without needing loads of heavy mascara.”

Peachy lips. When you’re out having fun, your serotonin levels may spike, which causes your lips to swell from the boost in circulation. Skip plumpers and go for an orangey- pink gloss — the warm hue matches your happy mood and golden skin tone.

Iridescent skin. Many women have an instinct to connect with guys at night, explains Williams. That means you want to reveal more of yourself, skin included. To really glow, top your foundation with shimmer powder. “Your skin will glisten in a club or the moonlight,” says Roncal.

Tawny cheeks. Adjust to the darkness with a deeper blush than you’d wear by day, says celeb makeup pro Matin. But apply it before you go out. Bar lighting is cavelike, so you could overapply by accident.

Intoxicating eyes. “Smoky eyes are sexy for evening,” says Matin. “And using rich blue shades is less predictable than black.” Apply a wash of cobalt shadow, concentrating it at your upper lash line. Drag some shadow along your lower lash line; finish with two coats of mascara.

Luminescent lips. Offset your dramatic eyes with a low-key, kissable pout. “Pale beige lipstick looks spectacular, very mod,” says Matin. To help it stay put, dab your lips with concealer first, then pat the lipstick on with your finger instead of swiping it straight from the tube.

Weekday

Your strategy: Stick to fresh and clean neutrals when you’re in a hurry. Then just intensify everything to dazzle after dark, says Matin.

Smooth skin. “When you wake up, your skin is in its most dewy state,” explains Dr. Fusco. “You don’t need to cover it up much.” Just apply a thin veil of foundation. “Skip thick formulas, which can separate over time, making your skin look mottled later,” says Matin. Then dab concealer over blemishes and under-eye circles.

Rosy cheeks. “Because your circulation is slower in the morning, your cheeks will be pale,” says Dr. Fusco. Fake a subtle flush with cream blush. “Then dust on translucent powder to set the color,” says Matin.

Elegant eyes. “Earth tones echo the daylight and are simple to kick up later,” says Dubroff. Sweep on a beige shadow, hitting your lash line and crease with an extra layer. “This enhances your eyes without being too intense,” notes Dubroff. Finish with mascara

Lovely lips. Your pout needs plumping in the a.m., since your body is just warming up. Bite your lips to amp up blood flow to the area, then pat on balm. “Avoid dark tints—they can look harsh for day,” warns Roncal.

Silky skin. “By night, your skin has lost a lot of hydration,” says Dr. Fusco. “And things like air-conditioning and heat hasten that process.” Counteract the bone-dry effect with a revitalizing foundation spray to freshen up. Then conceal blemishes with an illuminating makeup pen. Finish with sheer powder on your T zone.

Gorgeous cheeks. Ever notice how your face becomes flushed and rosy as the day goes on? “Stress and caffeine intake can create extra redness by causing the blood vessels to swell and expand under the skin,” explains Dr. Fusco. So don’t pile on more blush — just brighten your existing shade with a sweep of translucent shimmer highlighter.

Sensual eyes. Your pupils dilate and turn catlike to help you see better at night, says Dr. Fusco. Take that seductive, sex-kitten effect up a notch by rimming your upper and lower lash lines with eyeliner. Flick the line up slightly when you reach the outer corners of your eyes, like you’re making a mini check mark. “It opens up the look of your gaze even more,” notes Dubroff. Refresh your morning shadow then your mascara by brushing out any flakes with a lash comb (or a mascara wand wiped off with a tissue) before applying two new coats.

Glamorous lips. “Most people’s inhibitions decrease in the dark because the environment is very anonymous,” explains Williams. Take that as your cue to wear a slick red lipstick, which looks especially sizzling in dim settings. “Pick lipstick over a gloss, since it won’t rub off as easily,” advises Dubroff. Citra Pandianganhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03190871497780207559noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1695762814339615215.post-81000035463745562892008-01-05T01:30:00.000-08:002008-01-05T02:22:44.430-08:00Body PeachRemember that the sun will still rise tomorrow even if I had one too many slices of pizza or an extra scoop of ice cream tonight.
Never blame my body for the bad day I'm having.
Stop joining in when my friends compare and trash their own bodies.
Never allow a dirty look from someone else to influence how I feel about my appearance.
Quit judging a person solely by how his or her body looks — even if it seems harmless — because I'd never want anyone to do that to me.
Notice all the amazing things my body is doing for me every moment I walk, talk, think, breathe...
Quiet that negative little voice in my head when it starts to say mean things about my body that I'd never tolerate anyone else saying about me.
Remind myself that what you see isn't always what you get on TV and in ads — it takes a lot of airbrushing, dieting, money, and work to look like that.
Remember that even the girl who I'd swap bodies with in a minute has something about her looks that she hates.
Respect my body by feeding it well, working up a sweat when it needs it, and knowing when to give it a break.
Realize that the mirror can reflect only what's on the surface of me, not who I am inside.
Know that I'm already beautiful just the way I am.
